All students in two years through eighth grade participate in physical education. As students get older they are able to participate in the athletics program.
Bishop Noland Episcopal Day School athletics provides opportunities to student athletes that promote lifelong learning skills in a competitive as well as fun learning environment. Being part of EDS athletics provides student athletes the opportunity to learn important life skills such as goal setting, self-confidence, decisiveness, passion, and enthusiasm. Approximately 80% of students fifth through ninth grades consistently participate in cheerleading, football, volleyball, basketball, and track. Our student athletes will have a unique opportunity as we build and grow our athletic program toward the future. We compete in the ACEL league (Association of Christian Educators of Louisiana) which offers opportunities to compete in both junior varsity and varsity level sports with other high schools in the state. We look forward to continuing to build these current sports, as well as implementing new lifetime sports such as swimming, golf, and tennis at our Upper School.
