Paula Clemmons

Librarian and Enrichment Division Coordinator

Hello, my name is Mrs. Paula Clemmons, librarian and enrichment coordinator of Bishop Noland Episcopal Day School. My philosophy as a librarian is to equip each learner with information literacy skills for the 21st century. With the library as the "heart of our school", it is my desire and purpose to foster a love of reading that will last a lifetime. My favorite part of my job is planning fun and enriching programs for all ages. I love technology based research projects!

On a recommendation from my Library Science teacher at McNeese State, I interviewed for the librarian position. The second I walked through the door I felt such a unique, warm atmosphere that is still here today,  20 years later.

While at Bishop Noland Episcopal Day School, I completed my Masters of Library and Information Science degree from Louisiana State University. I enjoy presenting workshops and in services for librarians in our parish and around the state. Our library has received the distinguished Louisiana Library Association's James O. Modisette Award. This award recognizes excellence in Louisiana library programs.

Most people take me to be very serious and have no idea that I love to laugh, play jokes on people, dress in costumes for fun events, and sometimes just be silly. Laughter is the best medicine!
