Hi, my name is Kyra Williams. I am a Physical Education Teacher. Prior to joining Bishop Noland Episcopal Day School I coached soccer at McNeese State University and was a substitute teacher in the Calcasieu Parish School Board System.
Currently I coach for Calcasieu Soccer Club with the “Under 13” and “Under 17” Girls Teams. I have also served on the board for the club for two years. I just recently married Logan in May and we have one son, Bryan, who is starting Pre K this fall. I graduated from McNeese State University in 2009 with a degree in Health and Human Performance-Education.
In my opinion, teaching and coaching are the two most rewarding professions a person could have. In this calling, we have the responsibility of shaping the next generation and producing mentors, role models, and outstanding leaders. Whether through sports or education, lessons are learned every day that can be invaluable for a child’s future. I have been incredibly blessed with the opportunity to work with such remarkable children, parents, and colleagues.
EDS attracted me because of its family atmosphere, as well as, its environment that breeds success not only in its students, but educators as well. I am beyond excited to join the staff here at EDS as I continue to grow as a professional and person. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for me and this wonderful school!
