Amelia Yakupzack

Assistant Head of School


Amelia Yakupzack is originally from Denham Springs, Louisiana, but has lived in Southwest Louisiana since 1984. After graduating in 1974 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Southeastern Louisiana University, Amelia began a career in public education.

Ms. Yakupzack holds both a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction (1988) and an Education Specialist Degree in Administration & Supervision (1992) from McNeese State University.

Amelia has 24 years of classroom teaching experience in grades 1-8. More than half of those years were spent teaching middle school science and ELA. For the past 13 years, Amelia has worked in administration as both an assistant principal for grades Preschool through eighth and an instructional coach for science and social studies teachers.
