Director of Advancement
I am Allison Schnake, Director of Advancement at Bishop Noland Episcopal Day School. I joined the EDS team in February 2014. I attended Louisiana State University and earned a Bachelors of Art degree in Mass Communications: public relations and a Bachelors of Art degree in Vocal Performance. I earned my Masters Degree in Public Administration from the College of Charleston in 2012.
As the Director of Advancement, I lead the school in development, marketing and Capital Campaign efforts. I serve as a liaison between the EDS Board of Trustees and the school and also cultivate and nurture relationships with EDS donors and parents.
I have many years of experience in non-profit administration. I was previously with Spoleto Festival USA in Charleston, SC, the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, and Charleston Stage. I am a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals of SWLA and am currently serving as the National Philanthropy Day Chair. I am also a member of the Arts and Humanities Council Board of Directors.
In my spare time I love to read and I love any health and fitness activity. I am married to John Schnake, the EDS chess coach, and we have an amazing little boy named Simon.
