Student Council at Bishop Noland Episcopal Day School is the heart of student involvement. It develops leadership skills among students, promotes school spirit and pride, builds communication with all student groups, and serves as the voice of the students.
The Student Council can lead to positive change because its activities and projects are testing grounds for ideas which can become part of the school.
Our EDS Student Council consists of six officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian and Reporter and 6 Representatives (two from sixth grade, seventh grade and eighth grade). Officers meet on Tuesdays during lunch to plan an agenda and organize the student council meetings. The entire student council meets weekly. These meetings are run entirely by the students, with little input/help from the advisor. The advisor is always present but only intervenes when asked.
