Welcome to Bishop Noland Episcopal Day School

Since 1953 Bishop Noland Episcopal Day School has been providing academic excellence to a diverse student body in a Christian environment.  Our reputation in the community is well known for producing creative, highly successful graduates who become leaders in their own fields.  You can feel confident that your child will receive an education and experience that will develop your whole child: spiritually as well as academically.

Our nurturing and passionate teachers provide academic rigor, creative curriculum, and innovative differentiation in a safe, loving environment.   Beyond the classroom EDS offers many co-curricular activities such as musical theater, award-winning math teams, state-of-the-art technology, organized sports, environmental projects and much more.  These opportunities allow our students to find and develop new passions.  Each day we develop and, more importantly, encourage skills such as teamwork, creativity, ethics, resilience, curiosity, and time management.

Most of all, EDS is a family environment bursting with support for each student to discover their own talents.  Come for a tour, walk through our halls, and feel it for yourself.

Faithfully,

The Rev. Frances "Boo" Kay+

Head of School

Mission Statement

Bishop Noland Episcopal Day School provides academic excellence to a diverse student body in a Christian environment.

Philosophy

The knowledge of God is the beginning of wisdom. The Christian church has always regarded education as one of the tasks involved in its pastoral ministry to people of all ages. Bishop Noland Episcopal Day School (EDS) is an outreach of the Church of the Good Shepherd and is an instrument of this ministry in that it attempts to guide the child in spiritual, as well as emotional, intellectual, and physical development. Any worthwhile education must take into account the fact that a child is not only a rational, but also a spiritual being; and that a sound mind and a sound body are related to reverence, charity, respect, and those things of the spirit, which are values common to, yet transcend human life. The role of the Bishop Noland Episcopal Day School is that of helping the child develop all facets of personality in proper orientation as a child of God. Each child is unique, an individual, one of God's children.
